About the role

Our client is seeking a qualified Spa Therapist & Wellness Practitioner to join the wellness team at an established luxury hospitality property in Northern Natal.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on Spa Therapist who also brings an additional wellness skill, such as Yoga, Pilates, guided stretching, mobility or breathwork.

The successful candidate will deliver professional spa treatments while helping create engaging wellness experiences that complement the property's natural surroundings.

• Perform professional massage, body and spa treatments.
• Conduct guest consultations and recommend appropriate treatments.
• Deliver consistently high treatment and guest-care standards.
• Lead individual and small-group wellness sessions.
• Offer private wellness experiences where appropriate.
• Adapt wellness activities to different ages, abilities and fitness levels.
• Assist with developing wellness activities and guest experiences.
• Recommend relevant spa treatments and retail products.
• Maintain treatment rooms and wellness areas.
• Ensure treatments and product charges are accurately recorded.
• Assist with stocktakes and product controls.
• Support spa promotions, packages and guest activities.
• Encourage appropriate spa bookings and wellness participation.
• Work closely with the Spa Manager and wider hospitality team.
• Maintain excellent hygiene and operational standards.

What they're looking for

• Recognised qualification in Beauty Therapy, Spa Therapy, Massage Therapy or a related discipline.
• Strong practical massage and body-treatment skills.
• Previous professional spa, hotel, lodge, resort or wellness experience.
• Additional qualification or demonstrable experience in Yoga, Pilates, stretching, mobility, breathwork or a similar wellness discipline.
• Confident leading individual and small-group sessions.
• Warm, personable and comfortable engaging with guests.
• Good treatment and retail-product knowledge.
• Professional communication and presentation.
• Proactive, organised and reliable.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Dermalogica or Terres d'Afrique advantageous.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays.
• Willing to live and work in Northern Natal.
• Legally entitled to work in South Africa.
