About the role
FrostByte is looking for a Mobile Application Architect to serve as a subject matter expert on Android and iOS technologies. The role involves providing leadership and technology vision for architecture direction across the IT ecosystem.
- Architect, design, and develop scalable and complex mobile applications across Android and iOS.
- Create solution design artefacts including proposed paradigms and technology.
- Work with product management and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into mobile solutions.
- Suggest new technologies and facilitate gap analysis and requirements gathering.
- Facilitate migration planning from source to target architecture.
- Develop proof of concept projects to validate new architecture.
- Execute projects in compliance with company development guidelines and software standards.
- Perform code reviews to ensure quality delivery.
- Act as a technical advisor to application development teams.
- Implement designed solutions using required development languages, tools, and frameworks.
What they're looking for
- Minimum 10 years of expertise in designing, building and running mobile applications for iOS and Android.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role including end to end solution architecting.
- Experience with the complete development life cycles of at least two applications.
- Experience with mobile analytics to inform product direction decisions.
- Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin for cloud and mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of design patterns and data structures.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, OS frameworks for multi threading, and data persistence.
- Experience developing custom UIs and animations.
- Familiarity with ad integration, cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Experience with performance and memory usage tuning.
- Proficiency with Git and Jenkins.
- Experience working in an agile product development environment.
