About the role
Our client is looking for a dynamic individual to strengthen its Financial Management Team within Production Western Cape. The successful candidate will report to one of the Financial Managers of Production Western Cape and will be responsible for preparing management accounts and providing full financial support to the estates.
- Prepare all monthly management accounts for the area, including variance explanations.
- Manage bank reconciliations, creditors, debtors and journals for the specific area's estates.
- Manage and control the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, depreciation and physical verification.
- Assist with budgets and forecasts, and monitor capital expenditure against approved applications.
- Perform quality control on clerical work before it reaches the Financial Manager.
- Identify variances and trends at an early stage and contribute to improving reports and systems.
What they're looking for
- BCom, BCompt or postgraduate diploma in Accounting.
- Qualified accountant with completed articles.
- At least 3 years' experience in a relevant accounting role.
- Above-average Excel skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central will be advantageous.
- Experience working on Sage.
- Strong analytical and administrative abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills.
