About the role

Our client is seeking an accomplished General Manager Couple to lead an exclusive luxury tented safari camp in Uganda.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced hospitality couple who understand that outstanding safari experiences extend beyond wildlife encounters to include exceptional cuisine, personalised hosting, beautifully presented accommodation and meticulous attention to detail.

The successful couple will take overall responsibility for camp operations, leading an established local team while delivering refined, authentic hospitality in a remote wilderness environment.

• Oversee all aspects of daily camp operations and guest experiences.
• Personally host international guests and deliver warm, intuitive and personalised service.
• Maintain exceptional standards across accommodation, housekeeping, Food & Beverage and camp presentation.
• Lead the development of a distinctive culinary offering, with one partner bringing strong practical culinary skills.
• Work closely with the kitchen team on creative menus, food presentation and consistent quality.
• Develop memorable dining experiences, including private dining and outdoor meals.
• Supervise, mentor and develop the local hospitality team.
• Coordinate guest activities with guides and safari operations.
• Oversee budgets, purchasing, stock control and operational expenditure.
• Manage maintenance, preventative upkeep and remote camp logistics.
• Maintain effective health, safety and emergency procedures.
• Support responsible tourism and appropriate guest engagement with conservation initiatives.
• Maintain effective communication and reporting with Head Office.

• Proven senior management experience within luxury safari lodges, tented camps, boutique hotels or exclusive wilderness properties.
• One partner must possess strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for exceptional food and dining experiences.
• Excellent Food & Beverage knowledge and refined guest-hosting abilities.
• Proven experience leading and developing multicultural hospitality teams.
• Strong operational, administrative and financial management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accommodation presentation.
• Practical understanding of remote camp operations and logistics.
• Strong communication, emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, adaptable and comfortable working across departments.
• Genuine interest in wildlife, conservation and responsible tourism.
• Willingness to live and work in a remote Ugandan safari environment.
