About the role
Our client is seeking a passionate and professional Field Guide to join a boutique safari property in the Thabazimbi area of Limpopo.
The successful candidate will deliver memorable nature experiences, combining sound bush knowledge with engaging guest interaction and a strong commitment to safety.
- Conduct guided game-viewing and nature experiences.
- Share knowledge of wildlife, birdlife, flora and the surrounding environment.
- Provide informative and engaging commentary.
- Maintain professional guest-hosting standards.
- Prepare and inspect guiding vehicles and equipment.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures during activities.
- Assist with guest activities and wider lodge operations when required.
- Support the overall guest experience through warm, personalised service.
What they're looking for
- Recognised field-guiding qualification, preferably FGASA or equivalent.
- Valid driver's licence and appropriate professional driving permit.
- Relevant First Aid certification.
- Previous guiding experience within a lodge, reserve or safari environment preferred.
- Strong bush knowledge and communication skills.
- Confident guest interaction and storytelling ability.
- Professional, responsible and safety conscious.
- Passion for wildlife and conservation.
- Willingness to assist with general lodge activities.
