About the role
A skilled and compassionate EMS Responder is needed to join a professional emergency medical services team to provide patient-focused care during medical emergencies.
- Respond promptly to emergency medical calls and provide appropriate pre-hospital emergency care.
- Assess patients, stabilise their conditions and provide life support within the scope of their qualifications.
- Assist with patient handling, treatment and safe transportation when required.
- Ensure emergency medical equipment and vehicles are maintained, checked and ready for use.
- Complete accurate patient records, incident reports and relevant documentation.
- Work collaboratively with fellow emergency personnel and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain professional standards, patient confidentiality and compliance with applicable protocols and procedures.
What they're looking for
- Valid EMS/Paramedic registration with the relevant professional body.
- Recognised life support qualification, such as ACLS, PHTLS, ITLS or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in emergency medical response will be advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, professional and patient-focused approach.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, quality care and professional conduct.
