About the role
Our client is seeking high-calibre consulting professionals for Gauteng and Cape Town to join a range of exciting projects across the banking, investment, insurance, retail, FMCG and mining sectors.
The successful candidates will be involved in consulting assignments focused on risk management, compliance, AML, regulatory frameworks, governance and IT-driven project delivery.
- Risk and compliance: Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, AML/KYC, Basel and governance frameworks.
- Regulatory and governance: regulatory reporting, governance structures, fraud prevention and compliance requirements.
- Project management: manage large-scale projects, deliver results, meet deadlines and engage with key stakeholders.
- Technical: IT systems including ERP, SAP, Oracle, CaseWare, TeamMate, Data Governance and Cybersecurity.
- Leadership: report to Boards and Audit & Risk Committees, lead teams and manage senior stakeholders.
- Industry exposure: banking, investment, insurance, retail, FMCG and mining.
What they're looking for
- 8–15+ years' experience in risk, compliance, governance, internal audit or IT project management.
- 8 to 9 years' senior or middle management experience in risk, compliance or regulatory roles.
- Relevant professional certifications (CIA, CFE, CA(SA), IIA, ICFP, SAIPA; an LLB is advantageous).
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects, delivering results and engaging with key stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting, governance structures, fraud prevention and compliance frameworks.
- Solid IT systems knowledge, including ERP, SAP, Oracle, CaseWare, TeamMate, Data Governance and Cybersecurity.
- Experience reporting to Boards and Audit & Risk Committees, and managing teams.
- Exposure to banking, investment, insurance, retail, FMCG or mining.
- Immediately available or able to start at short notice.
- Thrives in consulting environments and adapts to diverse industries, clients and projects.
