About the role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Accountant to join our client’s team in Portugal. The ideal candidate will be SAIPA qualified with 1–2 years’ post-articles experience and a strong foundation in accounting and financial processes.

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting schedules.
• Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting.
• Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and process accounting entries and journals.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis where required.
• Ensure financial information is accurate, complete and up to date.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audit processes when required.
• Provide financial information and reports to management.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Willingness/ able to relocate to Portugal.
